I’ve spent more than 25 years working in early childhood education, building my foundation on Canadian education principles and Montessori certification. I strongly believe in adapting environments, not children, to help them succeed in learning. These days, I’m based in Cary, NC, where I’m raising my two elementary-age kids — an experience that adds a whole new dimension to my professional insights.
My journey has taken me from running a private nursery school in small-town Canada to working in American public schools. I’ve worked extensively with both typically developing children and those with special needs, particularly focusing on autism and ADHD. I love creating specialized routines that work, breaking through negative behavior patterns, and building environments where every child can flourish.
I’m all about helping parents find their way through complex educational systems and creating support structures that actually work. I know firsthand that small changes can make a huge difference — whether that’s tweaking a daily routine or adjusting a learning environment. As both an educator and a parent, I focus on getting parents and kids working together as a team. There’s nothing better than seeing families discover solutions that really stick.
